About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Strategic Partnerships to lead the design and implementation of fundraising and partnership strategies that align with the organization's mission to advance practical solutions for a low-carbon economy. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a multi-year fundraising strategy, identifying and pursuing high-potential opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective donors. This role requires a deep expertise in fundraising and strategic philanthropy, with a focus on systems-level, policy-oriented climate and energy work. The Vice President will also serve as a key member of the senior management team, contributing to organizational strategy, and will be expected to have a Master’s degree or above, at least 15 years of related work experience, and a proven track record in managing fundraising and partnership efforts.
Key responsibilities for the Vice President, Strategic Partnerships include leading the team in proposal development, overseeing the preparation of funder reports, and maintaining organizational revenue forecasts. The ideal candidate will have a background in environmental, energy, climate change, or economics-related fields, and experience in NGO, philanthropy, government, or corporate social responsibility. They should possess strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, and be adept at strategic thinking and problem-solving. The role also involves engaging with the board, assessing and mitigating risks, and fostering a partnership mindset within the organization. The candidate should be mission-driven, with a proactive and collaborative approach, and demonstrate ethical behavior and integrity in all aspects of their work.
