About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Vice President to serve as its chief staff officer, providing strategic leadership, operational direction, and organizational stewardship. The successful candidate will work in close partnership with elected physician leaders, acting as a primary spokesperson and playing a central role in the development and implementation of policies and initiatives that strengthen the physician community. Key responsibilities include governance and board relations, strategic leadership, revenue and growth, advocacy, program oversight, financial management, and staff leadership. The EVP will be expected to maintain strong, collaborative relationships with state and federal policymakers, healthcare organizations, and key stakeholders, while also managing the Association's staff, budget, and operational resources.

Applicants for the EVP position at the company should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree preferred, and at least 6-10 years of progressive leadership experience in complex organizations. The role requires strong relationship-building skills, proven financial management experience, and a solid understanding of current healthcare issues, particularly those impacting physicians. Exceptional written, verbal, and public-speaking skills are essential, as is the ability to drive membership and non-dues revenue growth. Experience in a senior executive role within a healthcare or professional association is preferred, and knowledge of issues affecting the local healthcare environment is a distinct asset. The ideal candidate will be adept at navigating the rapidly changing healthcare landscape and will be committed to the mission of the organization.
