About the Role
The Company is in search of a Dean for its College of Health and Natural Sciences. The successful candidate will be a transformative and innovative leader, responsible for shaping a newly realigned and interdisciplinary academic unit. This role is pivotal in advancing a dynamic academic environment that fosters interprofessional education, cross-disciplinary research, and community-engaged learning. The Dean will provide strategic leadership and oversight for all academic, administrative, and operational functions, support faculty recruitment and development, and promote a shared vision for innovation and excellence. Additionally, the Dean will be tasked with advancing accreditation, assessment, and programmatic excellence, as well as cultivating external relationships with various stakeholders.
Applicants for the Dean position must have an earned doctorate in a relevant field, at least 5 years of progressive academic leadership experience, and a record of academic and scholarly achievement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical or healthcare education, program accreditation, and external partnership development. A strategic thinker with a collaborative leadership style and a commitment to shared governance is essential. Preferred qualifications include experience in launching or restructuring academic units, success in building clinical and community partnerships, knowledge of current trends in health care and science education, and experience in fundraising or philanthropic engagement. Strong communication and team-building skills are also highly valued.
