About the Role
The Company is seeking a full-time Assistant General Counsel to join its Legal and Compliance team. The successful candidate will work closely with the General Counsel, Strategy & Operations team, and outside counsel to ensure the organization and its core operating entities adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements. This includes assessing and managing state campaign finance and lobbying laws, reviewing and approving public communications, and identifying and mitigating legal risks. The role also involves legal review of contracts, vetting, and preparing RFPs and grant applications, as well as developing and implementing organizational policies and procedures. The Assistant General Counsel will be a key point of contact for all legal and compliance matters and will be responsible for training employees and managing relationships with external counsel.
Applicants for the Assistant General Counsel position at the company should have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and must be admitted to a U.S. state bar or on track to sit for the bar exam. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal, regulatory, and agency materials research, with a proactive mindset and a commitment to providing quality legal advice.
