The Company is seeking a Vice President of Political and Legislative Affairs to lead its federal engagement strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing the organization's power and presence in Washington, D.C., managing relationships with Congress, and overseeing a dynamic team focused on legislative affairs, political strategy, and strategic partnerships. This role requires a bold, strategic, and politically-savvy leader with a deep understanding of federal and state legislative processes, particularly in the area of reproductive health policy. The Vice President will be expected to shape and execute congressional engagement strategies, align coalition efforts with political strategy, and expand the organization's engagement with national political committees.
Applicants must have at least 15 years' of experience in political leadership, issue advocacy, organizing, or electoral campaign strategy, with a preference for those who have held senior leadership roles in national advocacy or political organizations. The role demands an individual with extensive political relationships and a proven ability to build alignment across diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator, a strong systems thinker, and an adaptive leader, capable of navigating complexity and leading through change. A commitment to racial equity and the ability to work through a racial equity lens is essential. The Vice President will also be expected to be available for rapid response and off-hours engagement during political escalations or strategic opportunities.
