About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting to take on a pivotal role in owning the accounting conclusions for its global consumer products portfolio. This executive will be responsible for leading all technical accounting matters, from complex transactions to the development of policies in line with US GAAP. The role demands a professional who can not only interpret GAAP but also influence how the company adheres to it in the face of growth, acquisitions, and innovation. The successful candidate will be the primary authority on SEC reporting, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all external financial communications.
Applicants for the Vice President position must have a minimum of 15 years' experience, with a strong preference for those who have worked in the consumer products industry within a large, complex organization. Recent, hands-on experience in SEC reporting for a publicly traded company is essential. The role requires a deep understanding of US GAAP and SEC regulations, as well as a proven track record in leading technical accounting for intricate business transactions. A Bachelor's degree is mandatory, and while a CPA and public accounting background are preferred, they are not required. The ideal candidate will be adept at building and leading high-performing teams, staying abreast of emerging accounting and SEC developments, and providing clear, executive-level communication to senior leadership and the Audit Committee.
