About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel to join their team. The successful candidate will be the principal attorney, with a direct reporting line to the Managing Members, and will be responsible for a wide range of legal matters. This includes providing legal advice to the executive team, managing client cases in litigation, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and overseeing all legal risks. The role also involves contract review and negotiation, representing the company in legal proceedings, and acting as the primary legal advisor to the company leadership.
Applicants for the Senior Corporate Counsel position at the company should have a minimum of 8 years' of legal experience, with a background that includes both law firm and/or in-house experience. Proficiency in civil litigation, creditors' rights, or litigation management is required. The role demands a candidate who is currently licensed and in good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with a preference for those licensed in Texas. The ideal candidate will be adept at client litigation management, providing legal counsel on a variety of business issues, and ensuring the company's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Additionally, the role involves risk management, corporate governance, intellectual property management, and providing legal guidance on employment-related matters.
