Candidates for the Vice President of Principal Gifts position should have at least 10 years' of experience in fundraising with major donors, ideally within an educational nonprofit or mission-driven organization. A proven track record in securing multi-year, seven- and eight-figure investments, exceptional relationship-building and influence skills, and outstanding strategic communication abilities are essential. The role requires a leader with strong business and financial acumen, capable of aligning philanthropy with program, finance, and data teams to drive mission and sustainability goals. The ideal candidate will also have a Bachelor's degree, at least 5 years' of leadership experience, and proficiency in leveraging data and systems to inform strategy and performance management.
