About the Role
The Company is in need of a Temporary Senior Counsel with a focus on advertising and marketing. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, drafting, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements related to production and content services. This includes but is not limited to MSAs, SOWs, framework and rate cards, and talent and rights clearances. The role also involves addressing data, privacy, and information security requirements in client and vendor engagements, as well as providing counsel on IP ownership, licensing, and clearance. The Senior Counsel will be expected to support operational excellence in strategic sourcing and delivery, provide risk assessments, and contribute to the development of contracting playbooks. Additionally, the role includes overseeing contract administration, coordinating with legal colleagues in different regions, and managing outside counsel.
Applicants for this role at the company should have a Juris Doctor and be admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. A minimum of 10-15 years' of experience in complex commercial transactions, with a strong background in marketing, advertising, and content production, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in negotiating complex agreements, supervising and developing junior legal talent, and a deep understanding of intellectual property and content rights. Experience in in-house legal roles within marketing production or agency environments is highly valued. The role demands a professional with excellent judgment, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
