About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to join its integrated care team. The CMO will be responsible for a wide range of key functions and responsibilities, all aimed at providing patient-centered, coordinated care. This includes supervising the hiring and onboarding of new clinicians, ensuring provider productivity and quality metrics are met, and overseeing patient safety, quality, and service. The CMO will also be involved in the development and approval of medical policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the role involves championing innovation in clinical practice, providing primary medical services, and maintaining a strong presence to foster a cohesive, collaborative clinical team.
Applicants for the CMO position at the company should have a medical degree, completed residency, and be currently licensed to practice in the State of Maryland. A graduate-level degree in business, administration, public health, or information technology is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' of experience in primary care, with a focus on culturally diverse and underserved populations, and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a medical director and team supervisor role. The CMO must demonstrate leadership, communication, and analytical skills, and have a strong understanding of the financial aspects of healthcare. Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly desirable. The role requires the ability to make difficult decisions, build leaders, and hold others accountable, as well as a commitment to the mission of the organization and the principles of patient-centered medical home.
