About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) with a focus on behavioral health. The CNO will be a pivotal figure in the executive leadership team, tasked with ensuring the clinical integrity, operational efficiency, and financial health of the nursing department. This role demands a visionary leader who can set and communicate the strategic vision for nursing practice, direct and evaluate all nursing activities, and maintain the highest standards of patient care. Key responsibilities include organizing and reviewing policies to meet regulatory and quality care standards, managing nursing resources effectively, and fostering a culture of interdisciplinary collaboration to meet the diverse needs of residents.
Candidates for the CNO position must have a strict background in direct behavioral health RN experience within an inpatient psychiatric setting. The role requires an active RN license in the state of Louisiana, a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, and a Master’s degree is strongly preferred. A minimum of 6 years of RN experience, with at least 2 years in inpatient behavioral health, is essential, along with a minimum of 3 years in progressive nursing management or administrative leadership. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial oversight, team development, and a strong commitment to mentoring the next generation of behavioral health leaders. Experience in a freestanding psychiatric hospital is highly advantageous.
