Job Title: UPS Technician (Mid-Senior Level)
Location: Richmond, VA
Salary: $95k-$125k base salary plus 401(k), Health Insurance, Vacation, PTO and Annual Bonus Scheme
Our Client:
• Independent provider of critical power services supporting data centers, healthcare and mission-critical facilities across Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic
• Known for hands-on engineering, strong field autonomy and a service-first reputation
• Stable workload, experienced leadership and no OEM red tape
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of UPS systems (200kVA+ preferred)
• Commissioning, load bank testing and emergency response support
• Diagnose electrical, battery and control system faults
• Support preventative maintenance programs and customer SLAs
• Work directly with clients on-site, clear communication is key
• Participate in on-call rotation (paid, structured and reasonable)
The Successful Candidate Must Have/Show:
• 4+ years of UPS or critical power field service experience
• Strong electrical background (AC/DC, switchgear, batteries)
• Experience with major UPS platforms (Eaton, Vertiv, Schneider, Liebert, etc.)
• Ability to work independently in the field without hand-holding
• Willingness to travel locally and regionally as needed
• Professional, customer-facing mindset, not a button-pusher
