Job Description
We are building a multi-product ecosystem – including live auctions, real-time buying, streaming, and more – and are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead efforts in developing greenfield products and establishing the technical foundations for future projects.
You will be a key player in shaping the infrastructure and operations strategy of the company. Your responsibilities will include leading initiatives to optimize systems, processes, and tools to support scalable and reliable applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions using IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Build, deploy, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, or similar tools, ensuring efficient automated testing and release processes.
Manage and optimize cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) with best practices in cost, scalability, and security.
Implement and maintain monitoring and logging systems using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, or Splunk.
Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to design and implement reliable and efficient systems.
Implement security best practices across infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes, ensuring data protection and compliance.
Respond to system outages with root cause analysis and long-term solutions.
Continuously evaluate new technologies to improve DevOps practices.
Mentor junior DevOps engineers, promoting best practices and standards.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience with scalable, distributed, and real-time systems.
Strong background in video streaming technologies and e-commerce platforms.
Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack.
Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go).
Understanding of version control systems (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket).
Expertise in networking, load balancing, and web servers (Nginx, Apache).
Strong understanding of security in cloud environments.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
The salary range for this position is $172,000 - $258,000, excluding incentives. Final pay depends on factors like location, experience, and qualifications.
