Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Middle School Special Education Teacher position is available in Indianapolis, IN, designed to support students with mild functional skill needs in a primarily self-contained classroom setting. This full-time contract role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the educational journey of approximately 16 students while collaborating with an instructional assistant (IA) to provide individualized support. Responsibilities include creating and implementing tailored lesson plans that address the unique needs of middle school students with mild disabilities. The role involves managing a self-contained classroom environment, monitoring student progress, and facilitating learning both within the classroom and during elective periods when students participate in other activities. Collaboration with an IA and other educators is essential to ensure an effective educational experience that promotes students growth and development.
