Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school in Goldsboro, NC, for the current school year (CSY) under a contract agreement. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. Responsibilities include: Delivering individualized education plans (IEPs) in alignment with state and federal guidelines Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to create inclusive learning environments Managing classroom activities and addressing behavior to foster a positive and productive atmosphere Tracking and documenting student progress and modifying instructional strategies as needed Engaging with families to promote student success Handling significant makeup work due to minimal substitute coverage throughout the year Desired Qualifications: Valid teaching certification in Special Education Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings Ability to manage a full-time classroom independently Strong organizational and communication skills Patience, flexibility, and dedication to student growth This position is based on a single site, offering stability and continuity for both students and educators.
