Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher skilled in supporting students from Grades K through 5 or Grades 9 through 12. This position offers a contract role within a school setting in New London, CT, where you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on students with diverse learning needs. Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student requirements Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure inclusive educational experiences Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions to support student achievement Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly Maintain accurate records and prepare reports in accordance with state and federal guidelines Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages growth and independence Desired Qualifications: Valid state certification in Special Education Experience teaching students in either Grades K5 or Grades 912 special education programs Strong knowledge of individualized instruction, behavioral interventions, and assistive technology Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication and organizational skills Commitment to student-centered and inclusive education Location: New London, Connecticut This contract teaching role offers an engaging setting where your expertise can drive student success and growth.
