Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1+ year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for an experienced Cath Lab Technician skilled in cardiac imaging to work in a busy cardiac catheterization lab. This contract position offers a dynamic work environment focused on advanced cardiac procedures and patient care. Location:
Houston, TX Based in a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab featuring two procedure rooms equipped with Philips and Siemens fluoroscopy systems. The unit operates on a first-floor setting within a major medical complex, supporting a team of nine staff members including RNs and Cath Lab Technicians. Key Responsibilities: Assist with left and right heart catheterizations, pacemaker/ICD placements, Watchman device procedures, and electrophysiology (EP) ablations Perform IR and vascular procedures within the Cath Lab scope Work collaboratively with a team maintaining a patient-to-staff ratio of 1:3 during procedures Adhere strictly to procedural and safety guidelines, including universal precautions and sedation protocols Utilize electronic medical records systems such as MERGE Hemo and Meditech for documentation Qualifications and Experience: Mandatory certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT, and a valid Texas license Experience in electrophysiology is preferred but not required Strong imaging skills specific to Cath Lab technology Proven ability to function well in a team-oriented, flexible environment Familiarity with hospital-provided scrub attire and procedural dress codes Schedule: Day shift coverage with on-call duties including one full weekend and two weekdays across a four-week schedule (totaling approximately 10 shifts) About Houston, TX: Houston is a vibrant metropolitan city known for its world-class medical facilities and diverse cultural scene.
