Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a dedicated Registered Nurse to serve as Lead Nurse supporting multiple K-12 schools in Waterflow, NM. This contracted position offers the chance to oversee student health services while providing critical nursing care in an educational environment. The role is onsite and supports 2 to 3 schools within the district for the current school year, with an expected end date of May 29, 2026. Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise Health Aides on campus to ensure quality care delivery Provide first aid and administer prescribed medications to students and staff Support students with chronic health conditions such as diabetes, asthma, and epilepsy Maintain accurate documentation of health office visits, medication logs, and immunization records Assist with student health screenings, and provide support for IEP and 504 plans Respond promptly and effectively to health emergencies Collaborate with school personnel, parents, and healthcare professionals to promote student wellbeing Travel between assigned schools within the district as required Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with valid CPR/AED certification Experience working with children, preferably in school health settings Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to pass background checks and fingerprint clearance Bilingual proficiency in English and Navajo (Din) highly preferred Familiarity with IEPs, individualized care plans, school health regulations, and FERPA advantageous Location:Waterflow,
