A healthcare professional with a strong background in school nursing is needed to support an elementary school in Naperville, IL. This role is critical in promoting the health and well-being of students while working closely with educators and families throughout the school calendar year. Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care and health assessments to elementary school students Manage student health records and medication administration in compliance with state regulations Develop and implement health plans for students with chronic conditions Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health and safety Conduct health screenings and participate in health education initiatives within the school community Respond promptly and appropriately to medical emergencies and injuries during school hours Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required Certification as a School Nurse (CSN) strongly preferred Experience working as a school nurse, preferably within an elementary school setting Knowledge of pediatric nursing and common childhood health issues Strong communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and school staff Ability to manage confidential health information with discretion and professionalism Location: Naperville, IL (Elementary School setting) This is a contract position covering the full school year (CSY). The role provides an opportunity to positively impact student health in a dynamic and supportive environment.
