Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the upcoming school year at a K-12 public school located in Mesa, AZ. This contract opportunity provides a chance to work closely with students requiring specialized instruction and support in an inclusive educational environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning needs. Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate varying abilities and promote student engagement. Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and support staff to foster a supportive learning atmosphere. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of academic and behavioral growth. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student development and program updates. Maintain compliance with special education laws, regulations, and district policies. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid state teaching certification with an endorsement in Special Education. Experience teaching students with diverse disabilities across the K-12 spectrum. Strong knowledge of federal and state special education regulations and best practices. Ability to create differentiated lesson plans and utilize assistive technology effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff. Location:Mesa, Arizona based on a full-time schedule with a contract duration covering the current school year.
