Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for a K-12 school in Bennettsville, SC, with two unique opportunities tailored to support students with mild to moderate disabilities. Position 1: Middle School Special Education Teacher Grades: 6th through 8th Classroom type: Self-contained Student focus: Mild to moderate disabilities Schedule: Now through end of school year (EOSY) Contract: Full-time Position 2: Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher Grades: 1st through 3rd Classroom type: Self-contained Student count: 7-10 students Coverage: Medical leave of another teacher Contract: Long-term substitute Responsibilities include delivering customized instruction designed to meet the diverse learning needs of students in a safe, supportive environment. Teachers will collaborate with classroom teams, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), track student progress, and adapt teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Special Education K-12 Experience teaching mild to moderate disabilities Ability to create and implement IEPs effectively Strong communication and collaboration skills Patience and dedication to student success Benefits of this role include working within a supportive educational community focused on student growth during the current school year contract.
