Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity seeks a skilled Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to provide specialized educational support for K-12 students. The position is full-time on-site within the Nashville area and runs from early January to mid-May. The role emphasizes direct, tailored instruction and communication support for students with hearing impairments across a variety of school settings. Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with auditory impairments across grades K-12. Develop and implement appropriate educational plans that address students unique communication and learning needs. Collaborate with general education teachers, speech therapists, and families to support inclusive and effective learning environments. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly. Provide consultative support on accommodations and assistive technologies for students. Preferred Qualifications: Active Tennessee Department of Education certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education. Experience working within K-12 populations, especially in delivering specialized services to students with hearing loss. Strong knowledge of communication modes, auditory skill development, and educational strategies for deaf/hard of hearing learners. Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills to work with educators, families, and related service providers. Ability to manage a dynamic caseload with diverse needs. Location & Schedule: Position requires full-time, 35 hours per week, on-site work within the Nashville metropolitan region. Contract employment from January 5, 2026, through May 20, 2026.
