A Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus on school health is needed for an elementary school setting in Aurora, IL. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY), providing essential nursing support within an educational environment. The role requires delivering comprehensive healthcare services to students, supporting wellness initiatives, and managing health plans for children. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid, medication administration, and chronic condition management Develop and implement individual healthcare plans in collaboration with families, staff, and healthcare providers Conduct health screenings and identify student health concerns Educate students and staff on health and wellness topics Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state and school health policies Respond promptly to medical emergencies and facilitate necessary follow-up care Desired Qualifications and Experience: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with experience in pediatric or school nursing Strong knowledge of child health issues and school nursing protocols Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and school personnel Comfortable working independently within a school setting CPR and First Aid certification preferred Location: Elementary school environment in Aurora, IL Duration: Contract position for the current school year (CSY) This role offers the opportunity to support student health and contribute to a safe, healthy learning environment.
