A contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) at an independent retail pharmacy in Ludington, MI. This role offers the chance to lead pharmacy operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support patient-centered care within a growing practice. Location: Ludington, MI Type: Contract (Local or Travel options available) Schedule: MondayThursday: 8:30 AM 5:30 PM Friday: 8:30 AM 12:00 PM Weekends: Closed Key Responsibilities: Oversee all general retail pharmacy operations as the Pharmacist In Charge Manage and review prescriptions to ensure accuracy and safety Ensure adherence to pharmacy laws and regulatory standards Support workflow efficiency and high-quality patient care Collaborate closely with a skilled pharmacy technician and support staff as volume grows Desired Experience and Qualifications: Active Mississippi Pharmacist License required Previous management experience is not necessary Comfortable handling and dispensing pain medications Ability to support a pain clinic servicing approximately 140 patients daily Professional, reliable, and friendly demeanor essential Pharmacy System: DRX (newer pharmacy management system) Prescription Volume: 1,5002,000 prescriptions per month Staffing: One PIC and one experienced technician on site, with plans to add staff as needed This contract position provides an excellent opportunity to apply expertise in a leadership role within a well-established independent pharmacy setting.
