This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher dedicated to supporting middle school students with diverse learning needs. The role involves delivering tailored instruction, implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and collaborating closely with educators, parents, and specialists to foster student success. Key Responsibilities: Provide differentiated instruction aligned with IEP goals to support students with special needs. Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with district and state regulations. Collaborate with teaching staff, therapists, and families to coordinate services and promote student growth. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education. Supervise students during school activities and assist with school programs as required. Perform additional duties as assigned to contribute to a positive learning environment. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors Degree with a major emphasis in Special Education, focusing on General Curriculum. Valid Georgia Professional Teaching Certification in Special Education General Curriculum. Experience working with school-age students in a special education setting. Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families. Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain organized student records. Location: Multiple positions available throughout Columbia County, Georgia, primarily serving middle school students. Contract Duration: Contract through the current school year (ASAP to May 20, 2026), full-time (40 hours/week) with schedules varying slightly between elementary and middle/high school hours.
