Located in Augusta, GA, this middle school special education teaching opportunity offers the chance to support diverse learners through tailored instruction and comprehensive special education services. Key Responsibilities: Deliver differentiated instruction aligned with IEP goals for students with special needs. Collaborate with educators, parents, and related service providers to enhance learning outcomes. Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with special education regulations. Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices. Supervise students and support school-wide programs and initiatives. Perform additional duties as assigned by school leadership. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Special Education with a major emphasis on General Curriculum. Valid Georgia professional teaching certification in Special Education General Curriculum. Experience working with middle school students in a special education setting. Ability to effectively manage a classroom and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and families. Reliable transportation and availability for the full contract period. Location and Schedule: Position based in Augusta, GA, serving multiple locations within the area. Full-time commitment, approximately 40 hours per week. School hours approximately 7:10 AM to 4:10 PM depending on grade level and assignments. Contract duration from start date ASAP through May 20, 2026.
