Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)
for a
contract or contract-to-hire
opportunity. This site is currently navigating staffing transitions, so the ideal candidate will be a confident, experienced pharmacy leader who can step in, stabilize operations, and lead by example in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an established retail PIC or Pharmacy Manager looking for consistent hours, leadership responsibility, and long-term potential. Assignment Details Start: January 19
Duration: 13-week contract with strong potential for contract-to-hire
Schedule:
MondayFriday: 10:00 AM 7:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM 5:30 PM
Setting: Retail pharmacy
Compensation: Competitive weekly pay
Benefits: Full-time benefits such as medical, dental, vision, etc.
Travel: Non-taxable weekly allowances for lodging, meals, and incidentals may be available for travelers
Mileage: Daily mileage reimbursed for candidates commuting from the Reno, NV area Key Responsibilities
Serve as Pharmacist in Charge, overseeing daily pharmacy operations
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and company pharmacy regulations
Lead, support, and mentor pharmacy staff during a period of transition
Verify and dispense prescriptions accurately in a high-volume retail environment
Administer immunizations and provide patient counseling
Maintain workflow efficiency while upholding patient safety and service standards
Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and leadership Required Qualifications
Active Nevada Pharmacist license, clear and in good standing
Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist in Charge in a retail setting
Current immunization certification
Proven leadership ability in busy retail environments
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage change and maintain stability during staffing transitions
Experience with ERx pharmacy software (training provided) Why This Opportunity
