Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 Special Education Teacher is needed in Albany, OR for the current school year on a contract basis. This role involves supporting students with diverse learning needs across elementary and middle school settings. The positions available focus on resource support for math, reading, and writing, as well as developmental classrooms emphasizing behavioral and basic cognitive skills. Key responsibilities include: Providing individualized instruction and support to students with special needs in resource and developmental classrooms Designing and implementing lesson plans aligned with students IEP goals Collaborating with colleagues, families, and other professionals to promote student growth and inclusion Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records Managing classroom environments to support positive behavior and engagement Available openings: 2 Elementary Resource Teachers focusing on Math, Reading, and Writing support 1 Middle School Developmental Classroom Teacher for students with low cognitive and basic skills 3 Elementary Developmental Teachers addressing behavioral and basic skill development Required qualifications and experience: Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings Ability to create adaptive and differentiated instructional strategies Strong communication skills for collaboration with families and staff Recent supervisor reference contact information required for consideration All teaching positions are onsite, with interviews beginning the week of January 5th.
