Bachelor’s degree in Education, valid state Teaching license or certification, and 1+ years Teaching experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A high school general education math teaching opportunity is available in New Orleans, LA, serving students for the 2025-2026 school year on a contract basis. This full-time position requires 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, following the school calendar, with a daily schedule of 7 hours plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Qualified candidates must hold an active Louisiana Department of Education teaching certificate in general education math. Candidates holding temporary or alternative teaching certificates will not be considered, as the district requires teachers who are fully certified and ready to start immediately. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and effective math instruction to high school students. Develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to support growth. Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development opportunities. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment to foster learning and student success. Qualifications: Active Louisiana DOE certification in General Education Math. Experience teaching math at the high school level preferred. Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills. Commitment to student-centered teaching practices and continuous improvement.
