A full-time Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity is available at an elementary school in Groton, CT, beginning as soon as possible through the end of the school year. This contract position offers a consistent 35-hour workweek in a supportive school environment, serving the health and wellness needs of young students. Qualified candidates should possess a current Connecticut RN license and have prior experience working in school settings. Experience in pediatric or school nursing is preferred, ensuring the ability to manage health plans, provide first aid, administer medications, and collaborate with educators and parents to promote student health and safety. Key responsibilities include: Delivering direct nursing care to students with acute and chronic health needs Conducting health screenings and assessments within the elementary school setting Developing and implementing individualized healthcare plans for students Responding to emergencies and providing first aid as needed Communicating effectively with school staff, families, and healthcare providers Maintaining accurate health records in compliance with school and state regulations This assignment offers the chance to impact student wellbeing positively while working a full-time schedule during the current school term.
