Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at an early childhood school serving preschool-aged children with disabilities. This contract role for the current school year requires a dedicated educator with the appropriate certifications to support the developmental and educational needs of young learners in a specialized setting. Responsibilities: Deliver individualized instruction tailored to preschool children with disabilities Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with NJ early childhood special education standards Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and support staff Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records Engage with families to support student growth and communicate development goals Qualifications: Valid New Jersey Preschool (PK-3) Certification Teacher of the Handicapped / Teacher of Students with Disabilities certification Experience teaching preschool-aged children with special needs Strong knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and classroom management strategies Location: Nutley, NJ (with reference to the greater Jersey City area for candidates) Benefits and Perks: Weekly pay schedule for financial convenience Comprehensive health benefits including vision, dental, and medical coverage 401(k) retirement savings plan for long-term financial planning This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young children requiring specialized support in an educational setting.
