Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity seeks dedicated Special Education Teachers to support diverse learners across multiple schools in the Denver area. These positions offer the chance to work full-time within K-12 settings, providing specialized instruction and support to students with a range of educational needs, including affective, cognitive, and learning challenges. Locations include: Rocky Mountain Elementary School (Affective Needs Teacher, Jan 5, 2026 End of School Year) Thunder Vista P-8 (Learning Specialist, ASAP End of School Year) Century Middle School (Significant Support Needs Teacher, ASAP End of School Year) Thornton Middle School (Learning Specialist, ASAP for at least 3 months, with possible extension through the end of the year) Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized instruction tailored to students unique learning requirements Implement strategies designed to support cognitive, social-emotional, and behavioral development Collaborate with school staff, families, and specialists to create effective educational plans Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly Maintain required documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines Qualifications: Active Colorado Department of Education Special Education certification Experience teaching K-12 students in special education settings, ranging from 0-10+ years Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt teaching strategies to diverse learner needs Committed to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment This is a contract assignment for the current school year, offering a full-time schedule of 35+ hours per week.
