$36.97 SC3 Truck Drivers/Warehouse Personnel Salary Schedule Position is eligible for membership in the Teamsters Local Union No. 763 which is part of the Lake Washington School District Trades Bargaining Council No. 763 (TBC).

SUMMARY: The job of Truck Driver/Warehouse person is done for the purpose of ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct; verifying stock and identifying losses; maintaining organized warehouse layout; transporting orders over designated routes; ensuring safe operation of vehicles; and loading and unloading orders.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Drives vehicles for the purpose of transporting orders and materials to designated sites; Receives non-stock items for the purpose of ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct; Operates a riding and/or walking electric pallet jack; Loads orders for the purpose of filling orders for transport; Unloads items for the purpose of distributing shipment to assigned site locations and/or individuals; Maintains various files and records (e.g. loss, expenditures, history of utilization, schedules, calendars, requisitions, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and providing materials and reliable resource information; Processes report requests, documents deliveries and/or materials for the purpose of disseminating information and /or materials to appropriate parties; Responds to inquiries of staff and vendors for the purpose of providing information and/or direction regarding the status of deliveries; Stocks equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining required inventory levels; Participates in physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses; Completes vehicle repair orders for the purpose of ensuring safe operation of vehicle; Assists other staff as needed for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work and activities; Models appropriate behavior for staff and students; Follows LWSD policies, procedures and protocols; Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent Valid WA State Driver's License Driver's abstract from Washington State Department of Motor Vehicles Ability to obtain Forklift Operator Certification Must pass criminal background check PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling; and significant finger dexterity. Must be able to load/unload, carry and maneuver heavy objects up to 100 pounds. Generally the job requires 25% sitting, 60% walking and 15% standing. The job is performed under some temperature extremes in a generally hazard free environment, and in varying atmospheric conditions.
