Accounting Assistant

A growing healthcare organization in Encintia is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support the daily accounting operations of a multi-location practice. Position Overview

The Accounting Assistant will work closely with the accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate financial records, timely processing of transactions, and compliance with internal controls. This position plays a key role in supporting month-end activities and maintaining the integrity of financial data.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
• Enter invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments accurately
• Post cash receipts and reconcile daily deposits
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
• Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations
• Support month-end close activities, including journal entry preparation
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with healthcare financial policies and procedures
• Provide general accounting and administrative support as needed

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 13 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and GAAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
• Experience in healthcare or medical environments is a plus
