Accounting Coordinator
LHH is seeking an Accounting Coordinator for an onsite, contract-to-hire opportunity with a growing organization in the heart of Richmond, VA. This role is well-suited for a hands-on accounting professional who can manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general administrative support in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Position Details
- Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
- Location: 100% onsite in Richmond, VA
- Employment Type: Contract-to-hire or Direct hire
- Contract Pay: $25$28/hour
- Permanent Salary Range: $55,000$65,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Process approximately 100 accounts payable invoices per week, including review, coding, and approval routing.
- Support accounts receivable by creating customer invoices based on vendor documentation within the accounting system.
- Post payments and ensure timely, accurate transaction processing.
- Maintain and update vendor records and assist with invoice retrieval from third-party platforms.
- Provide general accounting and administrative support, including data entry, statement review, and online payment processing.
- Assist with ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks as business needs evolve.
- Adhere to internal controls, company policies, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Prior experience supporting both AP and AR functions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to resolve discrepancies.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working in ERP/accounting systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to work onsite full-time and complete pre-employment screening, including background check and drug screening.
