A K-12 school in Newcomb, NM, is seeking two Registered Nurses (RN) for an onsite contract position from ASAP through May 29, 2026. These roles will provide comprehensive nursing care and oversee health services across 23 schools, supporting the wellbeing of students and staff throughout the school year. Key Responsibilities: Serve as Lead Nurse and oversee Health Aides on campus Provide first aid, basic health care, and administer prescribed medications Support students with chronic conditions such as diabetes, asthma, and epilepsy Document health office visits, medication administration, and immunization records Assist with student health screenings and support IEP/504 plans Respond effectively to health emergencies Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers Qualifications and Experience: Registered Nurse (RN) license required Current CPR/AED certification Ability to travel between assigned schools Experience working with children or within school settings preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Must pass background check and fingerprint clearance Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual proficiency in English and Navajo (Din) Familiarity with IEPs and individualized student care plans Knowledge of school health regulations and FERPA compliance Location: Newcomb, NM Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, onsite only This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student health in a supportive, educational environment while acting as a key healthcare leader across multiple schools. xsgimln Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply promptly to support this essential role for the academic year.
