Utah Community Credit Union
The Director of Business Intelligence (BI) is responsible for leading the Credit Union’s enterprise data analytics and business intelligence strategy, transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making, operational excellence, and enhanced member experience.
This role serves as a senior authority for analytics, reporting, and enterprise intelligence, working closely with the CIO and executive leadership to align data capabilities with institutional strategy, growth objectives, and performance excellence. The Director of BI will build and mature scalable analytics capabilities, oversee data governance, and cultivate a data-driven culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Data Strategy & Leadership
Execute and evolve the Credit Union’s enterprise data and analytics strategy in alignment with the CIO’s technology roadmap. Define and manage the Business Intelligence vision, roadmap, and maturity progression. Ensure analytics initiatives support organizational strategic pillars including member experience, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth. Business Intelligence & Analytics Management
Lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise reporting, dashboards, and analytics frameworks. Establish standardized KPI frameworks, executive scorecards, and performance measurement systems. Deliver actionable insights for executive and board-level decision-making. Data Governance & Quality Oversight
Lead enterprise data governance, data stewardship, and data quality initiatives. Define policies and standards for data accuracy, integrity, security, and regulatory compliance. Oversee metadata management and data classification practices. Collaborate with IT, Enterprise Architecture, and Information Systems teams to define and maintain scalable BI platforms and data architectures. Guide the evolution of the data warehouse, analytics environment, and self-service BI capabilities. Support cloud and modern data platform strategies. Advanced Analytics & Strategic Intelligence
Lead predictive analytics, forecasting, trend analysis, and decision intelligence initiatives. Enable advanced analytics use cases including member behavior modeling, profitability analysis, risk analytics, and operational optimization. Translate complex data into clear, strategic insights for leadership. Build, mentor, and lead the BI and Analytics team. Define role clarity, performance expectations, and professional development pathways. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Lead selection, evaluation, and management of BI technology vendors and services. Manage BI-related budgets, resources, and project prioritization. Ensure delivery of analytics initiatives aligns with business value and ROI. Required Qualifications
