Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 Salary/year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Tenant Engagement
Establish consistent high‑quality customer service with tenants at the building; engage in professional dialogue to resolve questions and concerns timely.
Maintain open communication with tenants per Communications Policy; ensure tenants know how to reach appropriate staff and that all communications are posted, including during emergencies.
Ensure timely completion of annual recertifications.
Refer tenants for supportive services or benefit entitlement support upon request.
Maintain tenant files.
Coordinate with Leasing Manager to ensure timely completion and collection of lease renewals.
Initiate proper follow‑up with tenants on arrears, 30 days past due, by phone and letter.
Cooperate with Legal and Collections Departments on other collections activities.
Building Operations
Ensure the building operates within budget.
Approve invoices of less than $1,000.
Collect rent payments and help residents sign up for Rent Cafe.
Assign work to maintenance staff as needed, in cooperation with Building Maintenance Supervisors.
Oversee turnover process to ensure vacant units are ready for occupancy within 30 days of vacancy.
Perform move‑in and move‑out walk‑through inspections with tenants.
Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure all code violations and repair concerns are cleared.
Review and submit purchase orders for supplies or equipment needed.
Identify tenancy issues that may require legal referral and coordinate with Legal Department.
Maintain communication with management and compliance team during operational emergencies.
Be available to address emergencies outside typical business hours on occasion.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Competencies
Minimum of 2 years of experience in property management.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work well with varying levels of staff members.
Detail oriented.
Organized.
Ability to manage multiple working relationships.
Affordable housing management experience preferred.
LIHTC certification required within six months of hire.
Certified Housing Assistant Manager preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software; intermediate to advanced working knowledge in Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of Yardi program preferred.
Education Experience
High School Diploma.
