Position Summary
The Staff Designer is a senior-level contributor responsible for leading design initiatives, setting creative direction, and delivering high-quality design solutions across multiple projects. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, mentors junior designers, and ensures that all design work aligns with business goals and brand standards.
What you’ll do Key Responsibilities
Lead the design process from concept to execution for complex projects
Develop and communicate design strategies and vision
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliverables
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals
Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
Mentor and provide feedback to junior designers
Advocate for user‑centered design principles and best practices
Ensure consistency and quality across all design outputs
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field (or equivalent experience)
7+ years of professional design experience
Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual, interaction, and/or product design
Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Experience leading design projects and mentoring others
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in retail, e‑commerce, or a related industry
Familiarity with design systems and accessibility standards
Design certification (e.g., IDEOU – Foundations in Design Thinking Certificate)
Driving product development in a user experience area
Master’s degree in UI/UX Design, Interactive and Visual Design, Product Design, or related field
Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly

Minimum Qualifications
Option 1: Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 4 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
Option 2: 6 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience driving product development in a user experience area.
Knowledge of implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
Background in creating inclusive digital experiences.
