HR Specialist
We are looking for a dedicated HR Specialist to join our team in Marina, California. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in supporting human resources operations, executive-level administration, and recruitment activities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while contributing to organizational efficiency and employee engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage calendars for senior executives, ensuring seamless scheduling of meetings, events, and travel arrangements.
- Prepare detailed expense reports for executive teams and larger departments, maintaining accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.
- Organize and execute special events, including logistics, catering, invitations, and procurement of materials.
- Facilitate recruitment processes by scheduling interviews, engaging with candidates, and overseeing logistical arrangements.
- Support onboarding activities, including document preparation, relocation coordination, and orientation sessions.
- Handle administrative HR tasks such as maintaining employee records, managing HRIS systems, and ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
- Collaborate with various teams to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency within the HR department.
- Assist with employee relations initiatives and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide support for ad-hoc HR and administrative projects as required.
- Utilize software tools such as Workday, Kronos, and Office applications to enhance productivity and communication.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources administration or related fields.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, including Workday and Kronos, and other tools such as Office, Google Workspace, and Concur.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated experience in recruitment coordination, onboarding, and employee relations.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and familiarity with compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across teams.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy in administrative tasks and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related area.
