Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
- Develop and oversee budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial projections to support strategic planning.
- Ensure proper account reconciliations and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to provide actionable financial insights and recommendations.
- Review journal entries and audit processes to ensure precision and compliance.
- Supervise financial statement audits and address any identified issues effectively.
- Optimize financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Mentor and guide entry-level accounting staff to foster career growth.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure the firm remains compliant.
- Minimum of five years of hands-on or public accounting experience.
- Prior experience in a law firm or detail-oriented services environment is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in preparing financial statements, budgeting, and managing cash flow.
- Excellent skills in general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with firm leadership and provide strategic recommendations.
- Familiarity with financial audits and compliance requirements.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
