Position Title: Admissions Office Graduate Assistant Department: Admissions Office Position Requirements and Preferences: Education: Bachelor’s Degree required Experience: Background in administrative work Abilities: Independent decision making and good judgment; Good written and oral communication skills; Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines; Organizational, time management, relationship building, and communication skills. Position Summary: WPU aims to foster a vibrant learning community. Graduate Assistants will exemplify leadership, employ relevant technologies, and embody the Quaker virtues of simplicity, peace-making, integrity, community, and equality. Responsibilities: Work at least 30 hours per week. Collaborate with admissions counselors, faculty, and coaches to ensure positive campus visits for prospective students. Create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Coordinate campus visit days for prospective students, including special programs like Nursing Day or Football Recruitment Day. Maintain and update student records in the database. Monitor promotional materials inventory and suggest reordering as needed. Represent the University positively to prospective, current, and former students, staff, and the community. Demonstrate enthusiasm, self-motivation, and professionalism. Work harmoniously with others. Arrange on-campus accommodations for prospective students. Serve as a positive role model for students. Assist with equipment inventory and assessment. Conduct oneself professionally at all times. Perform other duties as assigned. Reports to: Director of Admissions Supervises: Assigned Work-Study Employees Evaluation: Performance assessed by the Director of Admissions.
