Banking and Finance Attorney
A well-established and growing general practice law firm in Northwest Arkansas is seeking a
Banking and Finance Attorney
that brings expertise in providing legal support as a trusted advisor to banks and financial institutions with regards to regulations, contracts and other finance issues. In this position you’ll provide critical review, drafting and negotiation of secured credit agreements, collateral documentation, control agreements and ancillary documents for financing transactions. This crucial position supports clients in execution of their transactions and strategic goals by providing legal and regulatory advice. You’ll represent creditors in bankruptcy and probate proceedings as well as offer general knowledge of matters involving the representation of financial institutions, tax experience preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Manage actual and potential litigation and enforcement matters, including reviews and investigations related to such matters
Advise on contract negotiation and documentation
Interpret existing laws, rules and regulations, and advising on changes to such
All aspects of advice regarding routine commercial lending work, including cash flow lending, acquisition finance, and asset‑based loan transactions; tax experience preferred
Debt collection, bankruptcies, foreclosures and probate proceedings
Draft and advice with regards to all loan related documents, including credit agreements, security agreements, indemnities, UCC's, guaranties, subordination agreements, and affirmation agreements
Manage, prepare for and execute all aspects of litigation to include hearings, trials, creditor meetings, and other proceedings for all bank clients
Assist with other clients’ business matters and civil litigation
Provide a weekly summary of projects, anticipated work for the following week, and intake of potential clients
Additional Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with support from law clerks and office administrators
Qualifications
Law Degree / Juris Doctor is Required
Licensed to practice law and a member in good standing in the State of Arkansas
Minimum 5 years in a law practice with focus on creditor matters
