Job Overview
A Senior Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) role is available at Belcan. The position is located in Dayton, OH and serves a key aerospace and defense client. The role focuses on delivering new capabilities across the Digital Engineering value chain and advising on MBSE practices.
Responsibilities
Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop model-based systems engineering solutions.
Develop and maintain system models using MBSE tools to represent architecture, requirements, behavior, and relationships.
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate engineering solutions.
Stay current on MBSE methodologies and technologies to enhance effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
10 years of experience applying systems engineering principles to complex systems, with 3 years of MBSE experience (Cameo/Catia Magic/Magic Systems, SysML).
Knowledge of DoDAF and UAF architectural frameworks.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Programming experience (Python, C).
U.S. citizenship and active Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
OCSMP Certification.
INCOSE SEP Certification.
Experience with Jama, Matlab, Agile methodologies, Atlassian tools.
Experience in the Aerospace and Defense domain, scripting languages (JavaScript, Groovy).
Experience with MBSE tool model validation suites, customizations, integrations, training, and mentoring.
Benefits The salary range for this position is $100,000 – $163,000. Benefits may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), education assistance, paid time off, holidays, and other required leave under law.
