Role Overview Fully remote role. Must live anywhere in South Florida for court appearances and be admitted to practice law in Florida. Strictly 40 hours per week with no billable hours.
This position imparts broad responsibilities and exposes you to a range of legal issues related to consumer protection, including transactional and civil litigation matters. You will manage litigation cases and resolve legal disputes on behalf of clients by developing agreements, negotiating contracts, setting claims, and advocating for clients in court.
Responsibilities
Maintain and supervise a heavy & diversified caseload of the firm’s clients in FL.
Communicate with clients regarding their respective matters.
Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, review & draft agreements, etc.
Communicate with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims.
Conduct legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law.
Qualifications
Currently admitted to practice law in FL (multi-state admission is a plus).
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
