We believe safety, collaboration, and quality are non-negotiable.Now, we’re seeking an Estimator to help us win and deliver the next generation of landmark projects. We are seeking an estimator to contribute to the team, or a experienced leader ready to take over the department.
What You’ll Do:
Review drawings, specifications, and request for proposals (RFPs) to understand project requirements
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs (steel, concrete, connections, labor, equipment)
Prepare cost estimates, direct costs, indirects, overheads, and contingency allowances
Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate bids from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
Work closely with engineering, design, and operations teams to validate constructability assumptions
Develop and present bid packages and proposals to management and clients
Monitor and maintain estimation databases and historical cost records
Provide value-engineering input to optimize cost, schedule, and constructability
Assist in post-bid work: reviewing subcontractor scopes, clarifications, and incorporating changes
Support change order pricing and claims as needed
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications & Skills)
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 5 years’ experience estimating structural / specialty construction (steel erection, precast, heavy structure)
Strong knowledge of construction methods, structures, steel detailing, connections, concrete, erection sequencing
Proficiency with takeoff/estimating software (e.g. Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Sage Estimating or equivalent)
Experience with Excel models, cost databases, and bid spreadsheets
Excellent negotiation skills and vendor/subcontractor sourcing relationships
Strong verbal and written communication: ability to present to management and clients
High attention to detail, with ability to think holistically (schedule, risk, logistics)
Ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines
Willingness to travel to job sites for bidding, site visits, or support (as required)
Professional attitude, integrity, teamwork orientation
