Position Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Field Technician with a basic understanding of electrical systems to support our field operations. This role involves assisting with installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment at job sites. Ideal candidates are hands‑on, safety‑conscious, and eager to learn from experienced technicians in the field. Primary Responsibilities
Assist senior technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. Help set up tools, materials, and work areas at job sites. Perform basic wiring, conduit installation, and equipment mounting under supervision. Support testing and troubleshooting of electrical components and systems. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed. Document work performed and assist with job site reports. Travel to various customer or project sites as required. Professional Qualifications
Some experience or training in electrical work (e.g., trade school, vocational program, or on‑the‑job). Familiarity with basic hand and power tools used in electrical work. Ability to follow instructions and learn from experienced technicians. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to work outdoors and in various environments. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders, lifts, or in tight spaces. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. OSHA 10 or other safety certifications. Basic knowledge of electrical codes and safety practices. Experience reading electrical drawings or schematics. Position requires heavy travel, up to 85%. This is a full‑time position with hours dictated by business needs.
