About the Position:
Armstrong Teasdale is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join its HR team. This role plays a vital part in shaping the employee experience by providing a welcoming and educational experience to all new hires through the management and facilitation of orientation. As a key support role on the Human Resources team, this position is responsible for maintaining accurate, complete, and well‑organized personnel records for all Firm employees and for handling sensitive and confidential information with a high degree of professionalism and discretion at all times. This role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the Firm’s culture, growth, and commitment to developing its people.
Essential Functions:

Provide all new hires a welcoming and educational experience through leading orientation
Assist with pre‑employment procedures such as new hire paperwork before orientation
Supports professional development initiatives across the Firm including leading our mentoring program, new hire connections, and new hire check‑in support
Assists HR leadership with the planning, coordination, and facilitation of the annual performance evaluation process.
Supports the administration of employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, wellness initiatives, and ancillary benefits.
Ensures benefit eligibility and changes are accurately reflected in the HRIS and payroll systems to facilitate proper vendor reporting and payroll deductions.
Maintains the Firm’s employee database, ensuring accurate and timely entry of all new hire, status change, compensation, and termination information; serves as a knowledgeable back‑up resource for HRIS data entry as needed.
Processes all Firm employment verification requests
Oversees the accurate gathering of information in order for the Firm to participate in multiple surveys throughout the year including EEO‑1, Mansfield, etc.
Serves as the Human Resources point of contact for data reports across the Firm
Gathers information from multiple sources for new hire, status change, and termination notifications
Assists with maintaining compliance with Firm policies and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws; escalates issues to HR leadership as appropriate.
Identifies opportunities to improve HR processes and supports implementation of enhancements.
Attention to Detail – Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in work; consistently meets deadlines and maintains organized records.
Decision Making - Identifies issues and provides suggestions to day‑to‑day problems; prioritizes and effectively completes daily tasks
Communication – Effectively communicates through written and verbal forms; shares information when asked and understands the appropriate level of confidentiality
Leadership – Gives positive feedback to others; is developing skills to mentor others; asks questions; is assigned work; focuses on day‑to‑day tasks

Required Education : High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Licenses and/or Certifications : N/A
Preferred Experience :
1+ year working in an office setting
1+ years working in a data driven and client facing office setting
Experience providing timely, accurate, and professional support to employees while maintaining discretion and confidentiality.
Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office; ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Work Model : This role follows a hybrid work arrangement and requires a regular onsite presence of four (4) days per week in the Firm’s St. Louis office.
Supervisory Responsibilities : N/A
Physical Activity : The employee will be required to sit for prolonged periods and work on a computer
Travel Required : N/A
