Job Title 1:1 Student Aide - Preschool (Behavior Technician)

Location Patterson, NY (public daycare setting)

Employment Type Full time / Fee for service (full‑time or fee‑for‑service depending on current caseload)

Hours Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 2:00 pm

Pay Range $19.00 /hr – $20.00 /hr

Benefits (Full‑time)

Responsibilities

Assist a student with special needs by providing academic, behavioral, and personal support.

Work closely with teachers and specialists to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure the student's success in the classroom.

Provide direct support to the assigned student in academic and social activities.

Assist with classroom assignments, adapting materials as needed.

Monitor and support behavioral goals, using positive reinforcement strategies.

Help with daily living tasks, such as mobility, hygiene, and transitions.

Escort the student to different locations (bathroom, cafeteria, therapy sessions).

Communicate regularly with teachers, therapists, and parents about progress.

Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Understand and demonstrate the company's core values.

Qualifications

Passionate to work with children, adolescents, families, and therapists.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Valid driver’s license.
