They are now searching for a Systems Engineer to join one of their elite teams in New York. The Role

As a full-time Systems Engineer, you’ll take on work that directly supports global trading and research operations running 24/7. Your day-to-day could range from expanding and maintaining a large-scale HPC environment, to creating internal services that strengthen the firm’s research capabilities. The role is intentionally broad: you may be involved in deploying and configuring hardware or software, managing systems remotely, monitoring and troubleshooting infrastructure, evaluating new technologies, developing automation and internal tools, and tuning systems for optimal performance. Key Responsibilities

Lead/deliver technical projects aimed at improving the speed, flexibility, and reliability of Linux-based trading systems across hardware, networking, and OS layers Oversee and fine-tune large-scale distributed compute and HPC environments Automate and troubleshoot a wide range of core infrastructure components Diagnose and resolve issues across both hardware and software stacks Handle OS deployments, upgrades, and general system lifecycle management Conduct performance analysis, testing, and optimization Develop scripts and tooling to eliminate manual or repetitive tasks Collaborate with external partners and vendors to address and resolve technical problems Qualifications

5+ years of relevant experience Expertise in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Linux systems Comfortable using Linux/UNIX command line tools Python and Shell scripting experience Experience with configuration management tools Attention to detail needed to manage and debug production services Exceptional communication skills- this role will require cross-collaboration with various stakeholders across the firm Ability to context switch to work on several projects at once Experience and knowledge of Debian/Ubuntu is a plus GPU Optimization experience is a plus Preferred Skills
